For over 30 years, the chefs at Bullocks Bistro has been slowly perfecting their world famous cooking sauce on the shores of Great Slave Lake in the Northwest Territories, testing our flavours on travelers from all corners of the globe, and it is now ready to share with the rest of the world. It’s mix of zesty garlic and sweet rich ginger gives an intense full flavour that will leave you wanting for more. Bullocks Bistro Sauces and Dressings Story

Bullocks Bistro Sauces and Dressing has been developed over 30 years in the kitchen of Bullocks Bistro Restaurant in Yellowknife, NT.  Renata Bullock the original owner and cook of the Bistro was a world traveller and was always trying new spices and combinations of ingredients to find the perfect sauce for her fish meals and salad dressing for the salads she served.  People from all over the world has taste tested these delicious products and the demand was created. Locals would go to the restaurant with their bottles and would get a refill of sauce and salad dressing for their kitchen. When the Bullocks retired and sold the restaurant the new owners decided to start testing and developing the most popular cooking sauce and salad dressing for retail sales.  When the Covid 19 pandemic hit, and the restaurant was closed customers needed their products and asked if the restaurant could make the products and sell them for curb side pick up.

This is when they realized the demand was great and started finalizing the necessary steps to manufacture the products in large quantities.  Local grocery stores then asked to have the product in stores and so the retail of Bullocks Bistro Sauces and Dressings started.  Once the restaurant opened again, they could not use it for the production and run it as a restaurant, so they had to look for alternatives.  They could not find a co-packer in Western Canada to manufacture the products and together with the support of the Government of the Northwest Territories, Cannor and the BDIC, began the process of building a Food Processing facility to produce their Products.  Their facility was completed in December 2021. They have been fine tuning the facility since January 2022 and now have the only food processing facility in the NWT and are very proud of their new facility and the amazing products they produce.
